The 2nd Asia Pacific SDEWES conference will be held in the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, and the venue is the Griffith University GC campus. Gold Coast is located approximately 80 km and 1-hour drive south of Queensland's capital city, Brisbane, situated on the east coast of Australia, right on the border between Queensland and New South Wales.
There are two airports that you can use for getting to the venue. The closest one is just 25 km south of Griffith GC campus, Gold Coast Airport (https://www.goldcoastairport.com.au/) which offers domestic and direct international services to/from New Zealand, Singapore, Tokyo, Seoul, Malaysia and Japan. Transfer options from the Gold Coast Airport are the Airport Shuttle Skybus or via public transportation on the TransLink’s integrated network.
For a large range of international flights (domestic as well), you should travel to Brisbane Airport (https://www.bne.com.au/) which is one hour north of the Griffith GC campus. There are several transfer options from Brisbane Airport to Gold Coast, you can consider the Airtrain option (two-hour train ride with change at Helensvale station), or the Con-x-ion shuttle bus.
A taxi from Brisbane to the Gold Coast is outside the metered zones, you would need to ask the driver for a quote. An estimate would be between $170 and $300.

The only train that runs directly to the Gold Coast is from Brisbane. For example, if you are coming from Melbourne you can get on a train to Sydney, then on another train from Sydney to Casino, then a bus from Casino to Surfers Paradise – Gold Coast.
There are many long-distance bus services which come to the Gold Coast from Cairns, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane including Murrays, Premier and Greyhound.
